Consultation day was a great success!
I want to personally thank all those people who helped us out on Saturday 5th July for the consultation event. The rain stopped in the morning and allowed us to get the party tent and gazebos up in the dry!
Lots of people came and viewed the draft plans and gave us their feedback via a questionnaire, whilst kids enjoyed the bouncy castle, mask making and temporary tattoos. A refreshment tent was also manned by volunteers and everyone worked together so well as a team.
I want to thank Craig Ogier for the loan of his huge party tent for the displays, Rob Nock who helped us set it up, Katina Wells, Joyce Guerrini and Lesley Parks on refreshments, Dawn Kenyon in the consultation tent, Dee Smith for the tatoos and contribution towards the park fund, Rachel Kenyon and James Andrew for manning the bouncy castle, Hannah Kenyon on mask making, Heather Tarrant for the friendship bracelets, Alan and Jenny Tarrant for their help in the consultation tent and all helper's kids for generally mucking in.
Also a great big thanks to Paul from Halesowen Bouncy Castles, who managed to fit us in at the last minute, and two of our PCSO's, Jo and Kat, for supporting us on their day off.
I need to mention aswell all the tireless work and effort put in by Ishrat Mohammed from the liveability project, and our councillors Lesley Faulkner, Karen Shakespeare and Jeff Hill for their continued support for the friends group.
